My experience from a decade of working in the equestrian world has led me back to a simple fact: A horse can only be as good as its foundation and its humans ability to communicate what they want affectively.

I work with my clients to find and fill in any missing links for themselves and/or their horses. With a focus on quietness and confidence for both horse and human, I help them gain the freedom to explore whatever discipline they enjoy with tools that can be adapted to any situation.

At a young age, I started working along side my family, guiding rides into the backcountry of the Eastern High Sierras and have been watching people and their horses interact ever since.

My experience extends from the show ring, and fox hunting,
to colt starting, cowboying and back country guiding. I have worked extensively throughout the western United States
as well as internationally, in New Zealand and Argentina.

My broad scope of experience gives me a unique collection of tools and techniques that help both horse and rider develop a better connection and understanding.

I have worked with Tirzah for 5 years. A truly gifted teacher, her understanding of the importance for foundational ground work and the patience to achieve it, is exceptional. More than a trainer, she works “with” a horse to build a strong bond of trust and understanding between the horse and rider.

I asked Tirzah to help me and my horse with a verity of problems we were having, for me it was lack of knowledge and a loss of confidence which she helped me get back because she is a great teacher of people as well as horses, for my horse she worked on foundation then moved on to more advanced skills and muscle building then outside rides. She sees every detail of horse and rider and explains how and what works for us. I give her 5 stars and highly recommend her.

I had a 3 year old filly that I wanted to get going as a ranch horse/rope horse. Besides being doctored because of an injury and being pet on in the corrals, she had not had much done with her. I hired Tirzah to get her started for me and after 3 weeks I had a horse that was calm under saddle in all gaits with the start of a nice stop and backup as well as having good ground manners. Tirzah was consistent, patient, and thorough, working with the horse until she got what she wanted. Her meticulous approach produced a great addition to my string of horses. I highly recommend her and look forward to having her back in the future to start other horses for me.
